And so, the Year of the Dalek comes to a dazzling end.
Last night my parents asked me what kind of cake I wanted for my 21st this year, and I mentioned that I’d kind of like one of the cakes she made for me when I was little, like the Rugrats cake, the Barbie cake, the Blues Clues cake she made for my brother, etc. because they were always the best cakes ever. I never want to ask for it because it’s a lot of work as I know from all the cupcakes I’ve made. So they promptly told me to go home so they could discuss what to do.
I will be honest, I was kind of expecting a Doctor Who something, but I suspected a TARDIS cake, because it just seemed like something easy-but-awesome to do. But even then, there were a few things they could tackle, like Adventure Time, Sherlock, Community, Firefly.. etc. My brother was there, he could have mentioned a couple of things that I wouldn’t expect to throw me off. I don’t know.
Anyhow, I sit down after supper tonight, and they bring out this Dalek cake sparkling and shit everywhere. It was flippin’ fantastic, especially because she had like two hours to pull it off today. The whole thing was fabulous and hilarious.
So.. just sayin’. My mama’s awesome.
Hey so, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I still don’t have these in wrapping paper (yet) for the literal hundreds of people that asked. The good news is that the few who asked for fabric can now buy it in my Spoonflower shop.
Guys! Guys! You know that post that’s going around with the christmas daleks?
I may have made it into wrapping paper.
HOLY SHIT ASS BALLS you are an incredible person.
For the record, guys, I’m looking into making a ton of this stuff in the future, but if I do it unfortunately won’t be ready for this Christmas. HOWEVER I fully plan on getting into this stuff next year!!!

I painted myself a new Christmas background. You’re free to use it if you are so inclined.
Just fixed some stuff that was bothering me. I like them better as one image, too.
I love drawing Daleks.
Actually, I just love Daleks.
Hey, remember when my blog wasn’t almost entirely devoted to Doctor Who? (also holy balls when did I get to 1200 posts)
Well shit.

For the first time, all 15 shuttle main engines are in the shop at the same time, being prepped for shipment to NASA’s Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, where they are being repurposed for use on NASA’s next generation heavy lift rocket, the Space Launch System.
